The 2002 NDI Conference was held in Amsterdam, Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28. This is the second conference to be held in Europe. It brought together top researchers and clinicians from around the world, as well as introduced some newcomers to the NDI community.

This year the conference was held at the Château Marquette Conference Centre and adjacent Golden Tulip Heemskerk Hotel located about 20km northwest of Amsterdam. Historic Château Marquette is situated on an estate which dates back to 1225. The Château, one of the last inhabited castles in the Netherlands, was converted to a modern, conference facility in 1980. Meeting rooms offer a unique mix of period decor and contemporary services. The hotel is a short, 5 minute walk from the Château. The estate is located in protected woodlands, with private walking trails on the grounds.
